POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a four-year-old boy was injured by a dog while walking with his mother and sister in Churchill Gardens, Salisbury.

The incident happened at 12.30pm on Sunday, April 6 when a 28-year-old woman, five-year-old daughter and four-year-old son were walking their Chihuahua on its lead in the park.

A tan and white Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog wearing a harness attacked the chihuahua.

The woman picked up her dog, and the staffie then knocked four-year-old boy to the ground.
